I mistyped my self as an INTP but then I remembered that I’ve always had this itch to meet new people and learn from them,, so I realized that I was a low energy ENTP the whole time because of a medical condition I didn’t even realize I had untill recently (Fibromialgia) which causes severe fatigue.. thanks, I enjoy your podcasts ( ◜‿◝ )♡

I really appreciated the comments made regarding certain medical conditions affecting type. I ran into the Myers-Briggs system probably about 7 years ago or so now and could never figure out my type. About 3 years ago I found out I had hormone imbalance and once I got things balanced out realized that most of the previous years of my life had been lived in depression [I’m 31]. I felt completely different. I had more energy than I had ever had in my life. Social situations were not as befuddling as they were before and I was able navigate them with relative ease. Unfortunately since then I’ve had to change insurance each of last 2 years, which has necessitated a change in treatment. The treatment I was on last year didn’t work and just caused me stress, physical stress. And since I’m also a grad student, I was adding more stress to myself. Now my semester is completed, my new medication is working, and I am in a place where I can recover from this chronic stress. My goal is to recover by the start of the next semester and be able to finally type myself.

Since it’s the ENTJ week, maybe a PHQ: INTJ vs ENTJ would be a good thing!

    Molly:

Pretty much exactly what I want to do right now is “[wander] the world for a while trying to learn uncommon languages, and teaching English”. My life is a bit to stagnant right now, and there is little I find more fun than learning languages. Would you mind elaborating on how you got to do this? Especially considering you’re an art major and not a linguist.

Perhaps this would be better in a more personal email… If you don’t reply here, I’ll try contacting you through your blog. (Love the look of your blog, btw. The Chesterton quote is one of my all time favourites, and I love the theological discussions.)

i feel the same exact way. The INTP profile is frighteningly accurate in describing my priorities, thought processes, and how I come to conclusions..but my environment is extremely important, I can’t focus on class assignments if my room isn’t in order. I’m an extremely clean person
