Thank you so much for this gem of a podcast. I’ve recently retyped as ESFJ from INFP (I know…) through a process of self (re)discovery and recognizing what has been situationally imposed on my personality vs acknowledging my true self and tendencies. Thank you for your assessment, the questions and options allowed me to provide the most authentic answer of any other test I’ve taken. I’m at a point of transition in my career life, just having turned 40 and recognizing that I’ve always stumbled ahead to the next thing that presented itself vs intentional crafting a path I care about and want to invest into. This episode was immensely eye opening and helpful. Through working with a career coach, I’ve learned my passions lie in education, empowering and equipping others. The context doesn’t matter so much as me having the competencies to feel confident instilling confidence in others to do their best work at whatever we’re working towards together. Interestingly, I resonated deeply with the opposites of the creative and the normalizing subtypes. I think my safe zone is in normalizing (the judging trait is strong with this one) but creative is how my personality manifests when it’s healthy and flourishing. I love coordinating and organizing and the traits of “likes a beautiful cozy home, they appreciate animals, nature, crafts and music” are me through and through. I also can admit that I’ve never been overly ambitious career wise, seeing work as a means to live and not the other way around. Thank you for this insight and affirmation that I’m on the right track. I love your podcasts and can’t wait to dig in more.

I am very new to the personal journey of “unfolding” myself. I happened to stumble upon your podcast have started my journey with you guys. I love loved what I have heard so far. I took the personality test and came up as an ESFJ. I have a hard time figuring with subtype I am because I have traits of all but probably more dominant because I am a safety and environmental specialist who manages a site for a corporation and has the drive to move up in my career. I have the feeling aspect but I am forced to make decisions as a thinker female and I’m not as nurturing since I’m in a very male dominated field. But that isn’t to say I don’t shut my door, cry, wipe my eyes and act like nothing happened. Hoping to realize who I am to help me overcome challenges and have better communication skills with my team.

I really enjoyed this podcast, I hadn’t been able to arrange all my thoughts on all the nuances an ESFJ can have. I feel that I got a bit of each subtype, but I am for sure a normalizing ESFJ (I am a microbiologist and biologist). Greetings from Colombia.
