Most people are familiar with the idea of fight or flight. It’s interesting, that each of the Enneagram 6 Subtypes, adopts a different strategy to deal with fear. One subtype will fight, another subtype will will flee, and the final subtype will find a protective authority to adhere to.
Basic Strategy of Type 6
The basic strategy of an Enneagram Type 6 is to feel safe and secure in what feels to sixes like a dangerous world.
To do this, sixes prepare for threats and things that could go wrong. Enneagram 6 Types avoid being caught unaware or being caught by surprise. They fear not being prepared to deal for threats and dangers.
And because of this fear, they are very analytical. Type 6’s are very good at taking things apart and thinking about all the different contextual situational things that could happen ahead of time, so they can be ready.
Enneagram 6 Types are also very intuitive that flows from their habit of thinking about what could go wrong in advance.Sometimes they just have an inner knowing of what might happen next.
Key Challenges of The Type
