The first few minutes was very good, and reminds me of why I keep ‘tuning-in’, but to be honest this is the only podcast I haven’t bothered to listen to the end.

As you were championing typology as a means of anchoring around certainties, I was ironically thrown out to sea into new type uncertainty, particularly with Joel’s (probably) over-simplifications about the effects of Fi in various ‘positions’.

I shall give the podcast 3 out of 10, 2 for the intro and 1 for the inclusion of irony.

Great podcast. I am not sure uncertainty exists with in ones self if we think about it we can let go of it. Failure is that not why people are uncertain. NE i think loves a challenge so it likes to fix uncertainty. Feelings and uncertainty. Most of the way people think is just a social network. For instance not every one gets jealous. I am uncertain when i have to jump a hole when i am pressurised by a group i get nervous which makes me uncertain. Virtually anything in the presents of human beings but my core being something in my head is always certain. Uncertainty creates curiosity. Nice one.

I’m an INTJ which that has been on a personal discovery over last 18 months about mbti (what a game changer) and have seen first hand how it can really be done when i’ve met introverted feeling and extraverted sensing dominant types and have now kind of resigned to just letting things be with my inferior and tertiary cognitive functions, yes i can try to get really good at using them but at the cost of allowing less time for my strengths to be used. I’ve heard a saying: Aim to improve the weakest part of yourself and you’re aiming for average, focus on your unique strengths and you can really go places.

I like the idea of levels of certainty being assigned to the hero through to inferior functions, it’s an interesting angle especially when looking at being too confident in our hero function and getting caught out from time to time. I believe in another aspect of say energy levels of our cognitive functions where the hero function can be used all day with barely any mental energy expenditure and our inferior function takes a lot of mental energy to use, sure we can get good at our inferior but using it drains us faster. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on that?

I already have problems staying out of grip stress from an overly activated inferior extraverted sensing in this busy loud crazy world so i’m quite fine for others to take care of things i’m naturally weaker at and would prefer to just stick to strengths of strategizing and getting things done, besides i’m sure the world could reach higher potential if the majority of people stopped trying to fit in and be similar and instead focused on their unique strengths instead of rounding out their weaknesses.

Also I Stumbled across the podcasts and Youtube videos lately and especially love the dissection and analysis of topics and how it is presented in a thought provoking way that gives rise to alternate viewpoints I haven’t conceived yet. I find myself challenging my world view in some aspect everytime i listen. very well done guys, keep up the awesome work!
